saying goodbye to 2018 and hello to a shiny new year

So here we are at the end of another year and I’m not really sure how to sum it up even though I’ve been thinking a lot about it lately. The good, the bad, the ugly. Overall I guess it was more on the good side of things. I wish I had started publishing my own knit & crochet designs much earlier than this year, but what can you do? Onward and upward. Just keep going.

This week has been fairly quiet. We’ve been enjoying family and staying in touch with loved ones who aren’t nearby. You know. Sitting by the fire a lot. Playing board games. Having pajama days. Working a bit and resting a bit and just breathing. Taking it all one thing at a time. If I sound a little blue or blah, well, it’s because I am. This is a real introverted time of year for me. I’m just a big cranky bear who needs some hibernation time. I’m sure I’m not the only one though.

For fun I made another Incantation scarf in this pretty sparkly colorway. I really like it. We all need a little sparkle midwinter, don’t we?

I’ve published 10 designs this year. It’s been challenging and also a lot of fun. I want to keep trying to put beautiful things out into the world. How about you?

I’m also feeling really grateful for everyone who has been supportive and encouraging of this endeavor over the last year. I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know. To say thank you for all of your support and encouragement, I’ve put together a little end of 2018 sale bundle of my 3 most popular patterns: Incantation scarf (knit), Moonwaves cowl (knit) and Spring in the Desert (crochet) You can pick it up here.

I’m looking forward to what 2019 may bring. Wishing all of you lotsa love and a very Happy New Year!
