little end-of-summer shrug!

Back in, I think it was July, I had the chance to visit Heindselmann’s yarn shop up in Provo during the Utah Yarn Crawl and bought these two gorgeous local indie yarns. I haven’t used the one on the left yet but the one on the right, from Raven Frog Fibers, I decided to make a little cap-sleeved shrug out of it.

No pattern, I just measured the width of my back, added a few inches inches for ease and length of the cap sleeves, then knitted a stockinette stitch rectangle the to the length that I wanted it. Then I sew a couple small seams on the ends to make the sleeves. Then I knitted rib stitch around the sleeve edges and the back/front edge.

Super easy project and fun to layer over a summer cami or tank.
