Cherry Cafe pattern is out!

Happy Tuesday everybody! My newest design, Cherry Cafe, is out on Ravelry now! This hat combines both simple knit and crochet stitches with beautiful yarns for a fun color pop that will brighten up any outfit.

I designed this especially as a treat to make just for you. Because we give so much to others and are so generous with our time creating for others, we need to treat ourselves once in a while and make something just for us.

Grab it now on Ravelry and let me know what you think! I’d love to see your finished projects!

sneak peak of newest hat design

So after spending a lot of my summer doing some knitting (a group of girlfriends is doing a Jubilee of Trees tree this year) I decided to do some selfish knitting and design a hat just for me. I’m nearly done!

It’s made with both knit and crochet. I love the crochet long wave stitch so much that I wanted to make something with it but I really love knitted ribbing on hats. So…it starts with knit ribbing, the main body is crochet long wave stitch with stripes, the top decreases will be back in knit stockinette stitch.

The yarn is Cascade Heritage sock (the red & yellow) and the blue is Malabrigo lace weight that I’ve never used. I’ve got to figure out something to do with the rest of that ball!

I haven’t seem very many combo knit and crochet patterns out there. Do you know of any? I guess most people prefer one or the other, which makes sense.

If you’re on IG you can join the poll to help me decide the name of this hat - check out my stories! And look for the pattern early next week. Happy making!
